The death is announced from Sydney of Dr. Cooper, Bishop of , Arrnidale.
Messrs Bobcrt Allen Stewart (Cardiff), T. B. Cleland (Kaponga) ami W. F. Lelunann (Stratford) have been passed as medically fit for the Reinforcements.
Major Cox, group commander for Taranaki, has been advised from headquarters that Staff-Sergeant-Majors C. 8. Mahoney ami J. T. Dallinger, Hawera, have been appointed to warrant rank in the- permanent staff. Staff-Sergeant-Majors Mahoney and Da Ringer were attached to the Haweru defence office, and when the war broke out they joined the main body of the Expeditionary Force. Sergeant-Major Dallinger at present holds the temporary position of lieutenant with the Expeditionary Force.
