TURKS CLAIM SUCCESS. United Press Association. (Received 9 a.m.) London, June 30. A Turkish communique states: After two desperate attacks, the enemy abandoned their positions east of bormil in Mesopotamia, and retired m the direction of Kerend. We are pursuing. SCHOOLMATES MEET.
TOWHSHEHO AND HIS TURKISH FRIEND. United Press Association. (Received 8.40 a.m.) Capetown, Juno 30. A British Colonel in Mesopotamia, in a private letter, states that the Turkish commander at Kut el - * and General Townshend schoo juntos and friends in France, and im mediately recognised each other.
