With reference to the trouble over the Municipal Buildings, a letter was lead at the special meeting ot the Borough Council last night from the Auditor-General declining to recognise the Council’s action as legal, and requiring the Conned to have its action validated. A telegram was also read from the Minister of Lands asking the Council to forward a draft of the clause to be inserted in the “’Washingup Bill” for consideration. —The matter was referred to the Borough Solicitor.
