18th REINFORCEMENTS.
Stratford's quota of the 18th Reinforcements, consisting of ten men, left for camp by the mail train this morning. They would be pleased in years to come that they had availed themselves of the opportunity of going into camp under that system. Tlio men would find things very suitable at the camps, and if they had any com- i plaints to make, the speaker advised; them to make them through the right channel. In conclusion, he wished tmv men best of success and luck in the! days to come, and said they would never regret that they had come up for duty at the present time. .. .. j
His Worship the Mayor (May.s.r'-W.j Boon), on behalf of the citizens'of. the'. town,wi'shed the men good-bye and; s»f o return. Stratford was not sending so many men into camp for the 18th Re-' inforcements as for previous drafts, but tho Dominion's quota was com-, plete, and previous drafts had also been brought up to their full strength.
The speaker said he' hoped the men would see active service, for he fell sure they would wish to alter being in camp about four months.
