At Tongaporutu on Saturday afternoon (states the News correspondent 1 ) a boy named Johnston was drowned in the Tringa stream, a small tributary of the Tongaporutu river, at Okau. The body has not yet been found. It is supposed that the boy was trying to cross the stream and fell in. He was a son of Mr William Johnston, carrier, of Okau.
