ACTIVITY OF ENEMY. SUCCESSFUL ITALIAN OPERATIONS. (Received 1.30 p.m.) Rome. June 25. An Italian communique states: The enemy's artillery activity increased yesterday between Adige and Brenta. We destroyed some positions southward of Asiago in an- infantry encounter westward of Po»a. Southward of Posna and southward of Arsiero,we attacked, driving the enemy back. Our aeroplanes bombed encampments on the Asiago plateau. AUSTRIANS HEMMED IN ON THREE SIDES.' {United Press Association. 1 London, June 23. The Daily Telegraph's correspondent at Rome states that the pressure of the Austrians on the plateau of Asiago has diminished, owing to the critical situation of the Austrian army corps that are hemmed in on three sides.
