- THE QUESTION OF SETTLEMENT, fUNITISO PhFSS AnSOOIATION.] (Received 8.45 a.m.) London, June 16. Mr T. P. O’Connor, writing in Reynolds’ newspaper, states that Mr Lloyd George’s settlement is the only alternative to a regime ot coercion, anarchy, and martial law, which is not further needed. Ihe Government should send no Chief Secretary in the event of a settlement, hut a LordLieutenant ns a symbol ol Ireland’s nationality and the necessary head of the executive.
