HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE. TUB DERBY WINNER. The famous military and sporting drama, Drury Jjiihc’s dip; success, “The Derby Winner,” which was such a boom when Bland Holt’s Dramatic t'o. played it through the Dominion some years ago, is the chief attraction at His Majesty’s Theatre to-night. The production has a special interest to the Dominion as. Miss Eva Balfour, who is a New Zealander, has the principal part in “The Derby Winner.” Miss Eva Balfour went Home to try her fortune on the legitimate stage, and after various up and downs in the provincial towns, she achieved success and became a star in leading London theatres. The play is brimful of incidents which rivet the close attention of the audience, and the culminating sensation is a realistic representation of historic Ascot, which shows Lord Desborough’s horse Clipstone, winning the fortunes of the Desborough family. The usual matinee will be held on Saturday.
