A German official report of the Jutland battle denies the British official ,yif] semi-official reports, and states that these were systematically circulated in order to deny the greatness of the British defeat. The report adds: The British assert that the German Fleet quitted the field, of which the British remained masters. Actually, our teorpedocis made many effectual attacks in an evening battle and forced the British Main Fleet to turn round. It was never sighted by our forces, and did , not attempt to come into touch with us, despite reinforcements of twelve ‘ vessels from the south. Tho British Main Fleet did not attempt to continue the battle.
