NEW PLYMOUTH WINTER SHOW.
The Taranaki Winter Show was opened in the Coronation Hall, New Plymouth yesterday. Record entries Were received, and despite the absence this year of the Government's exhibit, every available foot of room was occupied. The whole interior arrangement has been remodelled and the result lias been very successful, y The Show was opened by the president (Mr J. Connett), who expressed disappointment at the unavoidable absence of the Hon. W. D. McDonald, Minister of Agriculture. The Primary Schools’ agricultural exhibit, arranged by Mr J. G. Ellis .(instructor) attracted a good deal of attention. The exhibit comprised vegetables of all descriptions, roots, seeds, etc., and Stratford District High School, Norfolk, Stanley, Ngaere, Pembroke, Midhirst, and Inglewood schools contributed to the display.
