eastern districts SUB-UNION. The annual meeting of the SubUnion was held in the County Hotel. Stratford, yesterday afternoon, when there were present Messrs A. Meicdith (chair), R. <l. Milne, R. Morrison (Toko), J. Rons and J. Rogers '(Wliangamomona), A. A . Xolan (Strathmore), and A. McMeekan (secretary). The balance-sheet showed an amount •in hand of £4 11s Sd. 1 Office-bearers were elected as follows— President: Mr A. Meredith. .Vice-presidents: Messrs A. A. Riper, J. Rothery, W. A. McCutclmn, C. Bacon, and T. McAloon (re-elected). I Secretary and treasurer; Mr A. McIMeekan. j Delegate to the Taranaki Union: Mr R. .7. Milne. | Committee; Two delegates from each Club, together with the President and Secretary. j On the motion of Mr Morrison, seconded hy Mr Nolan, it was resolved that football be carried on this year under the cadet system suggested at the. Taranaki Union meeting, and that no player over nineteen years of age be. allowed to play, the fee for each Club to he -5s each. It was stated that teams would be entered from 'Wliangamomona. Toko, and Strathmore, the first fixture being between Strathmore and Toko, at Toko, on June 24. Regarding the Masters Shield, it was decided, on the motion of Messrs Meredith and Roos, that it be handed hack to the donor (Mr R. Masters), and that he be, asked if it might bo agailahle for competition among the cadets. It is understood that Mr Masters lias expressed himself agreeable to this course.
