THE IRISH PROBLEM.
PRESS COMMENT. [Unithd Pbksb AeapQfATTON.I London, June .2. The Evening Standard states that the basis of an agreement has been reached on the Irish question. It Is proposed immediately to establish a Parliament consisting of the present Nationalists in the House of Commons, thus .avoiding an inopportune election in Ireland. Ulster will remain under the Imperial Parliament unless she chooses to he governed by her own/provincial parliament. Mr Lloyd George seeks to satisfy both ,parties, and a. chance is left open of bridging the gulf after the war with a full settlement of the whole problem.
