A meeting of the Eastern Districts will ,be held ;in the: County Hotel, Stratford, to-morrow afteijnoan at two o'clock.
Weather Forecast.—The indications, are for westerly strong winds to gale.The weather appears likely to be? cloudy and unsettled. Rain probable.: Barometer Wellington. Archbishop O'Shea was to have administered the Sacrament of Confirmation at the Roman Catholic Church next Sunday, but owing to having been unavoidably delayed in the Gisborne district, the ceremony has been postponed until Sunday week, 18th inst. ssmt^ ,^^¥^!^^ - "'■"" • ""•* The Minister of Marine has despatched the Jnnie Seddon to search for the crew of the Southern Isles, the scow which was wrecked on Farewell Spit. It is thought there is a possibility that they were blown to sea in the ship's boat.—P.A.
