CHARGE AGAINST A SWAGGER.

) At the inquest on ilie Rev. Metcalfe, jAnglican minister, who was found un'conscions on the roadside en route for home after holding service near liurrowa, it was stated that lus head was battered, and that he succumbed from the injuries received. A swagman named Murtagh Murphy was found lying near, also unconscious, and when ho recovered he was in !a demented condition, and was removed to an asylum . He professed ignorance of Metcalfe's condition. A verdict of murder was returned against Murphy.
