Harry Ain icy and Jane dale, each well known as popular and talented artists, have been secured for the leading roles, land the rest ol the cast has been especially selected. Ihe story ol m- ■ trigue, daring, danger, love and sacrifice should prove a big attraction. The latest “Pathe Gazette,” a beautiful scenic of Hath, England, and a. comedy cartoon of Charlie Chaplin by a new artist, will also be shown. NATIONAL DAIRY SHOW, The thirteenth of these popular events set’down tor June 20th and 23rd is now fast approaching, and intending competitors are asked to note that entries close on Saturday next, 3rd June. A new division is introduced this year which is not only going to make a most interesting display, hut which is going to assist in popularising and making known the excellent work of our Acclimatisation Societies. This competition is for dcor heads, red and samhnr. A very (food number of entries arc already in, and many others are promised. The Department of Agriculture has been granted extra space, and an nsiisally line display is to In* staged. The Winter Show being noted for its assembly of dairy farmers who are usually slack at tin- time, it was suggested that the new cattle pavilion would he very suitable for a pedigree cattle sale. The Committee adopted the suggestion, and an exhibition will he held on Wednesday. 21st June, followed by a sale on the 22nd. This departure, together with the fat sheep and lambs competitions, will tend to bring the farther side of the grounds more info use at this Show. Entries in all the Ceneral divisions are due to close on Saturday, 3rd June, and schedules may he obtained from the secretary, Mr W. T. Penny, Box 85, Palmerston North.
