FOOTBALL.

RUGBY UNION COMPETITIONS. So far nomination have been received from the following cadet teams:— New Plymouth High School (two), Technical College, New Plymouth. Waitara Tariki, Stratford, Stratford District' High School, Eltham, Kaponga (two). Auroa, Okaiawa, Mauaia, Hawera (two), and Normanby. An endeavor is being made to establish a team among the Inglewood cadets. If this can he done there will be seventeen teams competing, and the competition will he divided into three divisions—North, Central and South. The North will comprise four New Plymouth teams and Waitara ; Central will embrace the five teams from Inglewood to Eltham ; and the southern division will comprise seven teams. This will reduce travelling to a minimum. It is expected that the competitions will commence on Thursday, June 8.
