TARANAKI EDUCATION BOARD.

Tlie ordinary meeting of the Taranaki Education Board was held at Now Plymouth yesterday, when there were present: Messrs 11. Trimble (chairman), A. Morton, E. Mark'll, A. H. Hitlcombe, F. Maekay, J. AGRICULTURAL EDUCATION. Mr Gray (Technical director), submitted Mr H. G. Sergei’s report as follows:—“Since my last report 1 have lectured at Lepperton, Kahouri Bridge Oakura, Okato, Waroa, Kent Road, Boaconsfiekl Road (Midhirst), Bell Block, Pembroke Road, and Ngaere. It was resolved to draw the Department’s attention to the application lor grants for a silo at Stratford for a high school, for a now school at Radnor and at Vogcltown, and for. the enlargement of the New Plymouth Technical College and the West End school. GENERAL. The Okau School Comnwttce were granted permission to close their ji school a week earlier than usual. The Ngaere school was allowed to bp G closed for two weeks for the winterG

The Board resolved to grant subsidies to Awatnna and Huiakawu schools for libraries as provided in the Education Act.
