HOCKEY.

THE LADIES’ ASSOCIATION. Per Press Association. Wellington, May 22. At the annual meeting of the New Zealand Ladies’ Hockey Association there was a fair attendance of delegates, Mr W. Robertson presiding. The balance-sheet showed £205 assets, including £147 on fixed deposit, and liabilities nil. The matter of the legality of hooking sticks was discussed, and was referred to the management committee. It was resolved unanimously that a tournament should be held this season.

The following officers were elected : Patron, Lady Liverpool; president, Mr 'l'. :I, Wilford; vice-presidents, to be elected by the affiliated associations; management committee, Misses Fulton, Harvey, Monteith, McKay, arid Simons; secretary. Miss Moore; treasurer, Miss Saunders, auditor, Mr H. A. Lamb.
