We captured. after a vigorous attack, a portion of tlie ground lost on Saturday night. The Germans repeatedly coun-ter-attacked our positions at Haudromont quarries, but were repulsed with heavy losses. We captured a trench on the outskirts of Vaux. Three enemy aeroplanes were brought down in me J.es Esparges and Soissons districts.
