[ RUSSIANS LINK UP. ADVENTUROUS CAVALRY RIDE. (United Fhksc Ahsocuti^n.) London, May 21. Router reports that Russian cavalry have joined the British on the Tigris. Official: General Sir Percy Luke reports that on May 18 the enemy vacated Bethaissa, an advanced position orl the right bank of the Tigris. General C. F. Gorringe followed up and carried the Diyailah redoubt. The enemy is still holding the Sonnaiyat position on the left bank. A force of Russian cavalry joined General Gorringe after a bold and adventurous ride. TOWNSHEND AND STAFF. ALLOWED FULL LIBERTY. . MAJORITY OF PRISONERS STILL IN MESOPOTAMIA. (Received 10.30 a.in.) London, May 22. Official advices from Constantinople through the United States show that General Townshend and saff are quartered on Prinkipo Island, where they are allowed lull liberty. The majority of prisoners are still at Kut and Bagdad. Some will go to Damascus.
