AN ABORTIVE INQUIRY. i United Press Atoocution. i (Received 9 a.m.) London, May 16. There was air abortive opening to tile inquiry into the administration ot the Flying Corps. Justice Bailhaciie (chairman of committee), invited the accusers to attend, but no one responded, The inquiry lias been adjourned. MILITARY CROSS FOR WELLINGTON I AN. London, May 16. The Military Cross lias been awarded Lieutenant Alfred Brandon, a Mew Zealander, for conspicuous gallantry and skill in bombing a Zeppelin at night-time. Lieut. Brandon is a son of Mr A. do Bathe Brandon, of Wellington.)
