SHACKLETON EXPEDITION.
SUGGESTIONS TO AUTHORITIES. [Unitbd Peebij Amooia*ion.] (Received 11.30 a.m.) Melbourne, May 16. ■ Senator Pearce, announced in connection with the relief of the Shackieton Expedition that the Commonwealth had cabled the Imperial Government suggesting the Weddel Sea expeditionary should start from South Africa and that the relief of Mcintosh should be entrusted to a local committee of the Commonwealth or New Zealand who would use the Aurora for the expedition.
