ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.
WELL-KNOWN IDENTITY KILLED A DANGEROUS CROSSING. Peb Pkebb Aswooiatton. Marton May 7. George Fyf'e Bishop, a well-known solicitor, and secretary of the Rangitik/i Hunt Club, about 50 years of age, and a married man, whilst walking down Wellington road on Saturday evening was struck by a. goods train as it was passing Wellington road crossing, and was killed instantaneously, his right leg being dislocated, while there was also an injury to the skull. This crossing has been the scene of two previous fatalities, and it is also the place where W. Broad was killed on his motor-cycle. Mr Bishop leaves a widow. DEATH FROM HEART DISEASE. Hastings, May 8. Miss Margaret Swan, aged 67, formerly a well-known Auckland vocalist, Has found dead on Saturday night at the. residence of her brother-in-law, Donald Banks, a solicitor. The ca/use of death was heart disease. Deceased has a married sister, Mrs Green, of Onehunga, and two other sisters who reside in Australia
