THE SDN. The sun rises to-day at 6.47 a.m. and sets at 5.3 p.m.; to-morrow, at 6.46 a.m. and 5.2 p.m. EXPECTED ARRIVALS Kara, from Wellington, Tuesday. Ra’awa. from North, Tuesday. Wallsend, from Newcastle Monday, Tiie Rarawa yesterday morning brought 249 tons of .general cargo, including 64 tons of sugar, 66 tons of cement, and 17 tons of manure. The Poherua arrived at 7 a.m. yesterday from Groymouth, and discharged 530 tons of coal. She sailed late at night for Onehunga .
The Rosamond got away at 3.30 a.m. yesterday for Wellington, taking over 1000 boxes of butter. The Union Company lias received advice that the Rosamond loads at the Bluff next Friday for New Plymouth.
The coastal steamer Waverley, which has had her holds insulated and a general overhaul to adapt her to her new running between Patea and Wellington. left Wellington on Thursday on her initial trip for the Patea Fanners’ Co-operative Freezing Company. Captain Fisk, late of the Aorere ) is master of the Waverley; Mr G. Brown, is mate, and Mr W. Morrison, late of the Aorcre is engineer.
