THE DEAD ON GALLIPOLI. GRAVES CAREFULLY TENDED. \ [United Prebb Association. ] (Received 9.50 a.in.) Melbourne, May 1. Senator Pearce (Minister of Defence) has received a message from the American Ambassador in London, stating that the Turkish Government had buried the dead on Gallipoli and were carefully preserving all the British and Australians graves. Senator Pearce (Minister of Defence) in addressing a gathering, said the 'present events called for duty by every man, and he concluded : “In the future, jit will be far nobler for a man to* consider that he went at the country’s call, and did not wait to bo sent by the country’s law!”
