THE LOWESTOFT RAID. [United Press Association 1 Loudon, April 28. A lady who was visiting Yarmouth describes the German bombardment. The people hoard the booming of enormous guns, and soon flashes were general along tlie whole horizon for ton miles, from Yarmouth to Lowestoft. The reverberation was terrific, and windows rattled and chairs jumped. At dawn people could faintly see about four enemy ships on the horizon. The firing was continuous during the morning, big shells flying overhead or splashing into the sea. The people stampeded to cover or fled inland as quickly as possible. RUSSIAN WARSHIP BOMBED. . Amsterdam, April 2!). A German naval communique says: Three aeroplanes dropped thirty-one bombs on the Russian warship Slawsi in the Gulf of Riga, and made several hits. A conflagration was clearly observed.
