Crawshaw secretary of the Younger School Guild, is in receipt of «s the following letter from the War Refugees Committee, London :—We tk aQ & you very much for the kind gift you have sent to Belgian childjen for Xmas. Unfortunately -■ we have only just received the case of clothing and toys that you have helped to send to the kiddies could nit have the presents just when you thought they would get them, but anyway, they are thoroughly enjoying them now, as the toys have been sent to a Hester, where we have many children who are being educated in England. We wish you could s&e them and so get some idea of how w.esl England is looking after her. little refugees, many of whom are orphans. Wo have had, so.much help from friends, both big and small, in New Zealand, in the way' of gifts of clothing .and toys and; your country has been simply splendid in' every way to us.
