Barometer falling soon.—Bates, Wellington. ihe police received word this morning that an old man named Hugh Johnston, aged 82, who lived with his son on the Bird Road, was found dead m his bod at 7 a.m. to-day. . The old man seemed in good health last evening, and when a small boy who slept in the same room rose from his bed lit G o’clock this morning, he thought the deceased was asleep. O n bein'--called f„r breakfast, Johnston did not answer, and on examination, it was found that he was dead. It is not known ' whether an inquest will he neeessarv.
