Mrs Elizabeth Monahan was awarded £25 damages against the Union Steamship Company for the wrongful detention of her luggage. Plaintiff alleged that during the Moeraki’s voyage from New Zealand to Sydney nr August, she lost a purse containing her” ticket, and defendant seized her luggage. v NAVAL WORKS DIRECTOR.
