A Press Association message to-day says that the Wellington men will leave by to-morrow’s ferry steamer; the Otago and’South Caqter*bury men leave for their homes by the early train on Saturday. No cot cases are expected.

The Dark Town Band in connection with the Soldiers Dax Fete, journeyed to Kaponga, per motor cars, this morning, and as the result ol a scratch entertainment, £ll 15s 3d was obtained. The band, after leaving Kaponga, went to Manaia, and touched at Hawera and wayside towns on the return trip.
