SENSATIONAL ARRESTS. TWO AUCKLAND RESIDENTS APPREHENDED. Pee Phebb A hh.:™ atton. Auckland, April 19. Paul Hansen, a well-known land and estate agent, and ex-Danish ViceConsul at Auckland, was apprehended by detectives this morning, and escorted to the fort at Devonport. The superintendent of Police, beyond stating that he was acting under orders from Wellington, declined to give any explanation. Shortly after Hansen’s arrest the Danish Consul-General for New Zealand (Sir Francis Boll) visited the office of Hansen and Co., and took possession of all papers and removed the Vice-Consulate. By instructions from the Defence Department, Dr. Fndletsberger, who lived at Epsom, was arrested this afternoon and handed over to the military authorities.
