BUTTER AND CHEESE. [UNrTKD Press Association.] (Received 10.50 Km.) London, April 13. Butter is steady. .Danish 174 slo 1765, Australian choicest in small supply (nominally) 158 s to 160 s. The bulk of the offerings consists of .secondary quality, wnlch is in moderate demand at 150 sto lots. New Zealand choicest fetches 1.62 s to 161 s, secondary 156 s to 158 s. Cheese is very firm. The bulk of the arrivals is required for filling Government contracts, and there is a strong demand for Hie remainder of New Zealand, at 105 s to 106 s, and Canadian at 108 s. The price of sugar is unchanged.
GOOD PRICES FOR WOOL. (Received 1.45 p.m.) London, April 13. At the wool-sales there was good competition for all classes of border, especially merinos. New Zealand "Gear" top price 2ld per lb., average 20£d per lb. At" Bradford there was considerable inquiry and a stronger tone for all sorts; sixty-fours; 42d per lb, supersixties 41d, common sixties. 40d, fiftysix's, 3fi?,d, fifties 31d, forty-six's 28d, forties 26d.
