GRATEFUL SOLDIERS.
A LETTER FROM EGYPT. [To Thk Editor Stkatfokd Post.] Sir, —I shall be vOry glad if you will allow me on behalf of the Taranaki Company of the Wellington Infantry Battalion (N.Z, Infahtry Brigade) t< express' through your columns its gratit r do to the people of the province foi their wonderful generosity. We hav( had so many gifts of all kinds fron Taranaki that we are forced to believ< we are not altogether forgotten by oui people at home. Sometimes packages have been so numerous that we hav( been able to share them with our com rades. We all realise the care anc trouble they involve and cannot- express our thankp too warmly to then various donors. The gifts seem to ar rive just when they are most wantec and add some luxury to the military’ ration. I should like to be able to ifeat* to every one that hae sent as I am afraid th»t is J shall be very grateful if you will piib lish this for me.—l am, etc., CLAUDE H, WESTON.
