HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE* THE STRANGE .STORY OF SYLVIA (aAY. Miss Helen Gardner is the bright particular -star in the feature film to be presented at this picture house tonight. The film is entitled "The Strange Story'of. Sylvia Gray." and it is said- that for gripp : ng tensities, this drama of the mysteries has ; eldom heen equalled on the stage or i.creen. It tolls of the desertion of a playwright and his wife, her subsequent life and adventurous career, and the wonderful mystery of the life of her daughter, whom she meets after twenty \ pars' exclusion. Other splendid subjects are: "A Quiet Game" (a good comedy), "War Gazette." an authentic war film, entitled "With the French in the Firing Line at Q.ienncvieres," also two fine dramas, "A Test of Courage" and "Never Despair."

WILLARD-JOHNSON FIGHT FSLM. At the Town Hall, Stratford, to-morrow night, the JohnsonWillard film will bo shown. The event is creating a keen interest amongst the public of Stratford. Apart from the fighting scenes, claimed to be some of the best ever brought to Australasia, containing twenty-six most exciting rounds, the preliminary scenes are quite unique, the training quarters of both contestants being vividly depicted, and the latest and most up to-date methods for preparing for a world's championship are shown. "VYillard, who'is a magnificent specimen of manhood, gives an able exhibition of physical culture, and the system used by him is altogether different to any other yet seen. Johnson is also seen preparing for the great contest. The outdoor trailing, which • took place a'Wind Mexico and Cuba, is an attraction in itself, and the scenic effects are fully magnificent. The management announce that the box plan is now open at Grubb's, where intending patrons can reserve seats.
