V; One of the most remarkable cases on the Turakina is that of Lance-Corporal Kennedy of Dunedin. A bullet shattered his temple, traversed the length of the head and remains lodged at the base of the skull. He was unconscious for two weeks and had the personal attention of Sir Victor Horsley, the eminent surgeon, who describes it as' one of the most remarkable cases that had come under his notice. Kennedy suffers from occasional headaches, but otherwise it is apparent that he feels no ill effects, ij ~, Captain Conway bring with him & beautiful silk .
