ZEPPELIN VISITS ENGLAND. UnITBD PfaKBH ASSOCfATTOW. London, April 6. Official: A Zeppelin was off the north-east coast last night and dropped bombs. It was driven off by antiaircraft guns. AVIATOR M.P.'S OFFER. \ ANOTHER ZEPPELIN HIT. London, April 6. In the House of Commons, on the motion for adjournment, Mr Billing drew attention to the Zeppelin clanger. He offered to personally organise and lead air raids on Germany, and saH he believed he could bag as many Zeppelins in a day as. the Government hoped to capture in a year. Mr Tennant replied, saying that the War Office would not neglect Mr Billing's offer. | In addition to Ll 5, another Zeppelin was hit on its coastal raid. This is known owing to the picking up of a message from its commander.
ZEPPELIN CHASING.
A VISIT OF TEN MINUTES. (Received 9.0 a.m.) London, April G. Under the clearest sky last night, the searchlights soon located the Zeppelin, heavy gun fire followed immediately. Apparently, they made good aim, as the Zeppelin vainly endeavored to elude the searchlights. It departed eastward after a visit lasting only ten minutes. A few bombs fell on the outskirts of the town. RAIDS ON ENGLAND. THREE ZEPPELINS ATTACK DIFFERENT LOCALITIES. LITTLE DAMAGE RECORDED. KILLED 1 :: INJURED 8. The High Commissioner reports:— London. Aiv'l 6 (7.23 p.m.)
The air raid last iiigiii: on the northeastern counties was apparently car-' ried out by three /'eppelins. The first made an attack about 9.10 p.m., and was driven oft' by anti-aircraft guns, after dropping live bombs, which caused no damage or casualties. Numerous' observers state that this Zeppelin was struck by gun-fire. The second raider made its appear- | ance in another locality at 10.15 p.m., . but no bombs were dropped. i Another raider delivered an attack 'on a third locality. Several bombs were dropped, but only slight material da-mage was caused. j The total number of bombs was 24 explosive and 2-1 incendiary. The casualties reported are: Killed, one child; injured, two men, one woman, and five children. I Xo military damage was done.
