In the House of Commons, replying to a question, Sir Robert Cecil said that as the war progressed it became clear that the list of contraband must he extended. The .Government proposed'to add a large number of article! immediately. Mr Runciman ("President of the Board of Trade) announced that from April 1, {Tie output of beer would be reduced 28 per cent, compared to 191314. The Bill to give effect to this Would be introduced next week. The reduction would be equivalent to a restriction of the brewing imports by about 33) per cent.
