BOWLING.
THE STRATFORD CLUB.
The match for the championship ol the Club for the 1916 season was decided on the green yesterday afternoon before a fair number of spectators. R. McK. Morison and S. Sharp fought out the final, and the result was a runaway victory for Sharp by 26 to 7. The'green was in good order, Morison striking the weight at the first head and scoring a single. Thereafter, he was not in it for six heads- his opponent registering 3,2, 1,1, and 2, making the scores 10—1 afc the tenth head, when Morison managed to get in another single. Then Sharp went off again at a great rate, scoring 2,1, 2, 1,2, 2,2, making him 22 before Monson got a look in. This time the latter made a 2 of it. but at the next head Sharp followed with 2((2 3). Morison got two singles and 2, the scores being 24—7. On the last head Sharp scored 2, and the championship was his. “The play was nothing to write to the paper about,” said one spectator, and he was not far out. The one-sided-ness of the match however, did not tend to fetch the best out of the players. At the conclusion of the game, three hearty cheers were given for the new champion by the onlookers. The win entitles Sharp to represent the Stratford Club in the champion-of-champions match to be played at Stratford on Thursday week, when play starts at 9 a.m.
