GERMANS DRIVEN FROM THEIR POSITIONS. EFFECT C~ V'SSvUN IN BULGARIA. GERMANS IN BAD REPUTE. (Received 10.30 a.m.) Salonika, March 23. The French engaged and drove out the Germans from heights north-eastward of Maisikovo. The German defeat at Verdun has left; a bad impression in Bulgaria. Several Bulgarian regiments mutinied and then massacred their officers. The people are angry at the German requisitions, and in some instances fired rifles at the requisitioners. BULCAR-TURCO-CERMAN ALLIANCES. BULGARIAN TREATIES IN 1914. (Received 10.30 a.m.) London, March 23. '■ The Daiy Telegraph's Bucharest correspondent states that a secret Turco-Bulgarian Alliance was arranged in April 191-1 and a treaty between Bulgaria and Germany in the spring of 1914.
