HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT. The Department of Agriculture, industries and Commerce has received the following cablegram from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, dated London, March 18: Butter—The market is quiet, but firm. Danish, quiet, per ewt., 180 s to 182 s; New Zealand, market steady, with tittle alteration in prices, l(S2s to'l64s; unsalted, 162 sup to 1665; fair to ■good quality, 150 s to 158 s; Argentine', firm market, 1-lOs to 150 s; Australian, market remains firm, 156 s to 158 s; Siberian, 126 s to 131 s. Cheese—The market is firm, and prices continue to advance. Canadian, stock is small, per cwt., 105 s to 106 s; fine, 103 s to 104 s; New Zealand. Holders are firm, white 102 s to 103 s, colored 103 s to 104 s-; United States, a fair demand, 100 s to 102 s; fine. 9S<; English Cheddar, 112 s to 114 s; Cheshire, 120 s to 1225. ( NEWTON KING'S REPORT. At my Haymarket sale on Saturday. 18th inst., I had a fair yarding of pigs, and prices on all lines were slightly easier than Rt my previous sale. However, all lines were sold at the fall of the hammer, and realised the following prices:—Weaners (small) 5s to 7s, medium 9s to 10s 6d, good |2s to 16s; stores (small), 18s to £1 2s, medium 24s to 27s 6d, good 32s 6d to 38s; porkers £2 to £2 10s, breeding sows £2 10s. Quantify posts and timber sold at very satisfactory prices.
