PURSUIT OF Tfit BANDITS. A DISQUIETING SITUATION. (Unitbd Pkrbs Association.! London, March 21. The Times' correspondent at Washington states that General Pershing's troops are over a hundred miles over the Mexican border. Villa's troops are fifty miles away, punctuating their retreat by massacring Americans. Carranza's troops are southof Villa. The situation is causing disquiet- in Washington, where fears are expressed regarding Carranza's goodwill. Officials fear that foreign influences are trying to inflame the Mexicans generally against the fortifiers. The next fortnight is expected to be highly critical, and even the complacency of Congress is shaken. VILLA NOT YET LOCATED. Washington, March 22. The American army that is chasing Villa in Mexico has been unsuccessful in locating the bandit's forces, and additional troops are demanded.
