POST-WAR TRADE. / r ’ v ■■ ‘ ■; ' t GERMANS’ RUTHLESS COMMERCIAL WARFARE. CAPTURING DUTCH BUSINESS. fUNiTKD Press Association J (Received 10.20 a.ra.) London, March 21. The Daily Graphic’s correspondent at Hague' has emphasised the fact that the Germans are preparing a ruthless post-war commercial warfare in Holland. Most of their travellers speak Dutch, and of the local agents who have been appointed the majority are Germans who have been long residents in Holland. On the other hand, the English firms are really English, in their language, money, weights and measures, which do not lend themselves to the interviews with merchants, with the result that the transaction is often lost. Just now the Germans are making superhuman efforts to secure the exclusive services of Dutch agents hitherto representing only English firms, and are also actively inquiring into every detail of English trade in Holland.
