BULGAR-CERMAN RELATIONS. BULCARS WILL NOT ATTACK SALONIKA. United Pbess Association. Salonika, March 19. The Bulgar-Germans arc feverishly .fortifying, fearing that General Sarrail will attack. The opinion is expressed in some quarters that the Entente will pursue the;enemy, and this, coupled with skilful diplomacy, will rapidly bring important results, in view of Bulgaria’s strained internal situation. It is understood that Bulgaria has again refused to attack Salonika, alleging that the Germans have failed to fulfil their pledges. HYDROPLANE CAPTURED. London, March 19. Athens reports that a British cruiser captured a German hydroplane and its .aviators at Thases, an island in the Aegean Sea, a few miles from the Thracian coast.
THE SALONIKA OFFENSIVE.
London, March 19
The Salonika correspondent of Le Petit Parisian states that the tone of the Germanophile press suggests that they have abandoned the idea of an offensive against Salonika. Mr Ward Price states that Germans have replaced Bulgars at the frontier in order -to :prevent desertions. AN ISLAND OCCUPIED. London, March 19. A French detachment is reported to have occupied the Greek island Mourto opposite Epirus. CREEK GOVERNMENT’S TROUBLES. i FINANCE AT A LOW EBB. (Received 8.30 a.m.) London, March 20. The Daily Mail’s Athens correspondent says the Government is greatly embarassed for the lack of money. The coffers have been exhausted by the continuance of a state of mobilisation, and the authorities are unable to pay the civil servants, and even the telegraph messengers are uppaid. The wives of the soldiers are demonstrating outside the Government offices demanding a pittance.
