House ,of Commons when Sir A. B. Markham,-in resuming the debate on the Army Estimates-, declared that Air Asquith’s pledge to the mamq|& was.iheing dishonored. He said that Lord Derby was an honest English gentleman, while Mr Asquith was a professional politician. Mr Asquith had said he would stick at nothing to win the war, arid the only thing to which he had stuck was his salary.—(Loud cries of “Shame!” “Insult!”) He tried to , edntinue his speech, but it was drowned in shouts of “Withdraw!”
The speaker said that the remark was not disorderly, and members could forin their own opinions as to its value.—(Lorid cheetii).
