ALLEGED ARSON CASE.
APPEAL COURT DECISION AWAITED. Per Press Association. Napier, March 16. In the arson case against Mr and Mrs Haynes, a verdict of not guilty was returned. In a further charge of making a false declaration. against a female and abetting against a male, the verdict was one of guilty. The question of validity of the verdict will go to the Appeal Court, the defence claiming that there was evidence that the declaration was legal in form.
