The returned soldiers’ employment bureau reports that of 1021 soldiers discharged from the forces, the Bureau secured employment for 583. VILLIERS, THE CORRESPONDENT VERDUN IMPREGNABLE. Mr Frederick Villiers, the veteran war correspondent, who i\as the only English corresiMUident to visit erdun, states that ihe defences are impregnable, there being over 70 miles of barbed wire entanglements outside the town. He thinks that the war will last some time. The British Fleet will have to play a more important part to bring Germany to her knees.
