TRUSTED SHAW-SAVILL SERVANT. PER f*KKW> *BBOCIATION. Christchurch, March M. Captain Oilman, of the Matatur., has been in the Shaw Savill service about twenty years. Formerly, he was chief officer of the old Arawa in the mail service, and later commanded the Pakeha. Several years ago he married Miss Gibbons, of Wellington. The Matatua had a tonnage of 6,488, with engines developing 4,500 horse-power, and was 418 feet in length.
