A Special from Mie New Zealand official war correspondent dated March 4th :'— "After several weeks' training and reorganising, the Now Zealand troops are again at the top of their form and ready for any eventuality. Ihe .mounteds have been doing useful patrol. The general health of tbe troops is very satisfactory. Their .spare time has been filled in with a football tournament rowing and swimming. The Canal defences are now sufficiently strong to repel any probable enemy attack which, owing to the success of the Russians at Ezerum becomes daily less imminent." TARANAKIANS IN COMMAND.
