THE CALL FOR MEN. TARANAKI TWENTY SHORT. The Wellington Military District’s quota went into camp on Tuesday with a not shortage of 62 man. Wellington City’s shortage was 53. The position of the live groups into which the military district is divided is: City and suburbs: Mounted: full, artillery, full; engineers, one short; signallers, full; infantry, 52 short; A.S.C. fill. Manawatu and Wanganui: Mountled, 2 over; artillery, 2 short; engineers, 2 short; signallers, 1 over; infantry, 11 short; A.S.C., 1 short. Hawke’s Bay and Poverty Bay: Mounted, 2 over; artillery, full; engineers 2 short; signallers, full; infantry, 8 over; A.S.C., 1 short. Wairarapa; Mounted. 1 over; artillery, full; engineers, 2 short; signallers, full; infantry, 17 over; A.S.C. 1 over.
