PERSONAL.
At the Methodist Sunday School last evening. Lance-Corporal C. Iluss was entertained at n farewell function and presented with a pair oi field glasses and a purse of sovereigns, by Mr .i. W. Boon. In making the presentation, Mr Boon referred to the recipient's many good qualities, and said be liml grown up in.the Sunday School, and for some time acted as secretary. The guest of the evening was also an active member oi the l';' l]!( |' 0 f H„pe, Church Choir, Christian Endeavour, and a local preacher, .„„, i, e would bo greatly missed by the congregation. The Rev. A. 0. Harris (for the congregation), Mr C. Burkett (for the Quarter Board), Mr y {', Foster (Sunday School Superinbo'ndent) ami Mr Lawn (choirmaster), j also spoke, while little Nit a Ricr.r' read a letter of address from the Sunday School scholars. During the caning a very enjoyable musical pro'granmip was presented.
